ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The public can get their hands on freshly pressed, local grape juice on Tuesday, August 15, at the Heritage Farm, located at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden.

Attendees can watch grapes being pressed and bottled from 9 a.m.-noon in the Cider Barn, and purchase the juice from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The juice is $5 for a half gallon.
Botanic Garden Manager Catherine Hubbard said farm visitors are fascinated by the rows of grapes growing in the vineyard as well as what these grapes produce once off the vine.
“People love the end result – the fresh-from-the-vine grape juice we produce,” Hubbard said. “And we love the opportunity to add another farm-to-table experience direct from our Botanic Garden’s Heritage Farm exhibit.”
The grape juice is all natural (grapes are grown with no pesticides and the juice has no added ingredients) and made from the farm’s table grapes (himrod, glenora and reliance grapes).
Grape juice will also be available for purchase at the admission booths in front of the Botanic Garden beginning August 16. The juice will remain fresh Wednesday through Friday, and will be sold as “fresh frozen” after that.

The event is included with regular admission.
