ABQ BioPark Summer Music Artists and Dates Announced

Zoo Music and Summer Nights to liven up summer evenings in Albuquerque.

May 1, 2018 – Pretty soon, evenings at the ABQ BioPark are going to get a lot groovier.

Zoo Music and Summer Nights concerts start June 7 and 8 and will occur weekly into August.

“As always, we have brought a great mix of local and nationally recognized bands, representing a variety of genres,” said Maryann Torrez, ABQ BioPark operation and events supervisor. “We have nearly 20 concerts to choose from. Whether you like funk, smooth jazz, contemporary, Latin or bluegrass, there is something for everyone.”

The Zoo Music concert series showcases regional, national and international talent playing a variety of music, including country, funk, smooth jazz, Latin rock, Celtic, bluegrass and pop-rock, while Summer Nights highlights local and regional talents with folk and Americana sounds.

Zoo Music will take place Fridays at 7:30 p.m. from June 8-August 3 at the Zoo. Summer Nights will occur Thursdays at 7 p.m. from June 7-August 9 at the Botanic Garden. Gates open at 6 p.m. for all concerts.

All concerts are lawn seating, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Tickets for summer concerts are $12 for adults and $6 for seniors (65+) and children (3-12). Children 2 and under get in for free and New Mexico BioPark Society members receive a 50-percent discount with their member code. More information about individual summer concerts and online tickets can be found here: www.abqbiopark.com/summer-music. Tickets can also be purchased on site starting today at the Zoo and Botanic Garden admissions buildings.
