Clovis’ Draggin’ Main Music Festival @ Curry County Events Center
Jun 23 – Jun 30 all-day

Draggin’ Main and the Clovis Music Festival are officially one combined event called Clovis’ Draggin’ Main Music Festival. Clovis will truly rock this
year with the tour of classic drive-ins, three nights of concerts that span several genres, Saturday’s Gearhead Gathering, and the Saturday night Draggin’ Main cruise down Main Street.

Vi Petty began the Clovis Music Festival 31 years ago, celebrating Clovis’ rockin’ history and Norman Petty’s innovative recording studio. The week of events–tour of classic drive-ins, musical concerts, and cruising down main–combine for one of the largest annual events in Clovis. Over 15,000 people crowd Downtown Clovis for our Draggin’ Main event, shop and eat at local businesses, and rock out at our concerts.

We have a three-day musical extravaganza this year and we are proud to announce that our Wednesday night performance will be country artist Doug Stone. Thursday night will be a tribute to the late Bobby Vee who recorded with Norman Petty, and performed many times at past Clovis Music Festivals. Headlining Friday night at Marshall Auditorium will be rock groups Warrant and Steelheart.

Since the 40’s draggin’ Main Street has been tradition in Clovis and many other communities around the world!  In Clovis, this activity was THE social event for all high-schoolers and young adults.  This was our Facebook before there was internet!  Main Street was where boys met girls, where friends gathered to talk about everything under the sun, where street light drag races were common, where disputes were started and settled, where dates were spent, and even where people went to find parties.  This tradition went on until the early 1990’s.

Draggin’ Main was founded in 2014 by Bryan Boone and Gene Porter to have something for all of the car enthusiasts and to bring back that hometown feeling with Clovis’ Historic downtown.  This project began as simple conversation amongst car buddies and grew into an exciting new adventure! As we moved forward with ideas, we began to realize how an event like this would assist downtown business owners, provide entertainment to the community, and satisfy the hunger to mingle with other car/truck/bike guys and gals.  Our eagerness and excitement turned into a challenge…”Let’s stop talking about it and start doing it!” Draggin Main was finally born!

We hope Clovis’ Draggin’ Main Music Festival will not only be a fun event, but will carry on a tradition for the entire family!

15TH ANNUAL PORK & BREW

JUNE 29 – JULY 1, 2018

The 15th Annual Pork & Brew as seen on “The Cooking Channel’s Carnival Eats” will return to the Santa Ana Star Center June 29-July 1. Bringing together the best barbecue vendors from around the region, this three-day festival featuring BBQ, beer, live music, cooking demos and interactive family activities will be one of the biggest events of the summer. Galloping Grace Youth Ranch will be returning to the event, showcasing a petting zoo and pig races throughout the weekend.

The 15th Annual Pork & Brew, hosted by the Rio Rancho Convention and Visitors Bureau, will feature an indoor/outdoor format, ensuring the 15,000 expected attendees can enjoy all the festival has to offer rain or shine.
