SOMOS Albuquerque @ Downtown Albuquerque
Aug 25 @ 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm

SOMOS Albuquerque is a city-wide festival that will showcase the very best Albuquerque has to offer, including world class entertainment, food vendors & local restaurants, craft brewing, arts and culture organizations, nonprofits, technology companies, and so much more.

For one day each year, let’s illuminate every good thing we know our city to be.

We’ve all — often together — been part of meetings that aim to “define the story of Abq.” That conversation is important. But we live those stories every day. They’re why we love this place. So what if we join creative forces and *show* instead of *tell*? SOMOS Albuquerquw is a collaborative effort — by all the people who’ve been contemplating a full-blown, city-wide celebration in downtown for years — with a philanthropic goal and an eye towards sustainability.

Entertainment

World Class

SOMOS Entertainment features the best of Albuquerque – alongside internationally touring artists. The talent will be a mix of local and national bands. Four outdoor stages throughout downtown will highlight a wide range of musicians, with something for everyone.

Cuisine

The Taste of ABQ

SOMOS Food, coordinated by Yelp, provides an authentic taste of Albuquerque’s culinary scene. Food courtyards will highlight our city’s best restaurants, and the Craft Beer Garden will highlight our city’s most delicious breweries.

Arts & Culture

Interactive & Immersive

SOMOS Arts & Culture Boulevard is an immersive experience curated by artists, arts organizations and nonprofits. With artmaking activities, large-scale installations, roving performances and more, the Boulevard will showcase Albuquerque’s creative talents.

Economic Dev.

Growing ABQ

SOMOS Marketplace highlights Albuquerque’s entrepreneurs and small businesses, including downtown’s brick and mortar shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. These vendors will sell their jewelry, clothing, art, crafts and more along the Arts & Culture Boulevard, offering visitors the chance to take home locally made goods.

Technology

Highlighting the Future

SOMOS Technology, organized by Nuevo, is a unique technology conference leading up to the main community celebration. Workshops and keynotes will focus on virtual reality, gaming, hackathons, coding and much more, with programming for all ages.

Families

Fun for all

SOMOS Family offers a special experience for youth, including a climbing wall, petting zoo, skate ramp, superhero photo booth and creative projects. A fifth stage will highlight local young musicians and performers, and one of Yelp’s food courtyards will be tailored to families.
